Shark sightings - Mollymook

Swimmers were evacuated at a popular South Coast beach on Saturday after a shark sighting.

The Bendigo Bank aerial patrol alerted lifesavers on Mollymook Beach to clear the water just after midday.

Harry Mitchell from the patrol says there were a number of shark sightings on the south coast over the weekend.

Mollymook car crash

A subaru driver travelling on Tallwood ave in Mollymook failed to navigate a corner and collided with a telegraph pole, bringing down the line.The driver and small child were not injured in the low speed crash.

Car Fire Mollymook

NSW Fire Rescue and Pumper responded to a car fire at Pengana Cres Mollymook around 8pm on Thursday night (28 July 2011). upon arrival the car's engine was engulfed in flames, the quick arrival of the Ulladulla fire brigade saved the vehicle from being destroyed. The cause of the fire is not suspicious.

Off-duty Ambulance Officer Rescues Drowning Man

Local off-duty NSW Ambulance officer Jim Moore has made a dramatic rescue this afternoon (16 July 2011) at The Bogey Hole Mollymook. Participating in a surfing comp, he went to the aid of a man that was seen floating in the surf. The man was transported to St. George Hospital in a serious condition. Its not known if he was participating in the surfing comp.
