Deliberately Lit Fires Burrill Lake

Ulladulla NSW Fire brigade attended two small scrub fires at Burrill Lake on Sunday afternoon (september 18 2011). In an area of bushland that is well known to both the Fire brigade and Police. An investigation is underway into how the fires started.

Deliberately Lit Fires Burrill Lake

Ulladulla NSW Fire brigade were kept busy on Saturday (6 Aug 2011) responding to a number of small deliberately lit fires.  Both Burrill Lake locations at Canberra cres and behind the scouts hall were extinguished quickly. Large fines apply to person caught lighting fires.

Police Investigate More Suspicious Fires

About 11.15pm on Friday 8/7/11 Police received a report of a vehicle fire on the Princes Hwy, South Nowra in the parking bay near Hillcrest Ave. The parking bay is regularly used by people who leave their vehicles on display for sale.
Police attended and located a Toyota Frontline Mobile Home parked and unattended with the rear of the vehicle on fire. Police gained entry to the vehicle and established that no persons were sleeping inside. Fire crews from NSWFB and Rural Fires Service attended and extinguished the flames but the vehicle had been destroyed. Minor heat damage was occasioned to a vehicle parked near by. It is unknown the cause of the vehicle fire.

Nowra Police are also investigating a suspicious fire this morning (10 july 11) at Anson Street Sanctuary Point. NSW Fire investigation are on scene.

Suspicious Fire's During High Winds

Ulladulla NSW Fire brigade and RFS units were kept busy with storm damage on tuesday (5th July 2011) and wednesday night, responding to power lines down at Termeil, as well as a number of suspicious fires in bushland near Racecourse beach and Warden Head lighthouse (pictured). Ulladulla Police are also investigating two shed fires in Milton in recent days. 
Any suspicious activity around the Ulladulla lighthouse and surrounding bushland should contact crimestoppers or Ulladulla Police.
