Jerrawangala bends

The driver of a white Holden Commodore suffered minor injuries after he failed to make a left hand bend at the Jerrawangala bends on the Princes Hwy today (23 October 2011). The Holden drove on the incorrect side of the road for a 100 metres before going down and back up a storm water embankment the car stopping just a few metres from a large tree, an oncoming black 4WD narrowly missed a head-on with the Commodore. The driver was transported to Milton Hospital for a check-up.
 
Around the same time a motorcycle rider has had a very serious accident at Ash Fire road, Bendalong. Police are currently on-scene investigating the cause. A NSW Ambulance helicopter was tasked but was called off.
